Thomas is working with the Hasso Plattner Institute’s openHPI team since the start of the project in 2013. 
Currently, he’s mainly coordinating several research activities within the openHPI project, particularly, AI-Campus, eGov-Campus and Corship.
His own research is focussing on scaleable competence-oriented assignments and assessment for project-based learning and teamwork.
openHPI is the digital learning platform offered by the Hasso Plattner Institute. 
Various partners, such as SAP and the World Health Organization, are using the HPI’s learning platform for their own teaching and learning purposes.
 
Thomas holds a PhD in Digital Engineering from Hasso Plattner Institute/University of Potsdam
